Looking around Donnybrook

Exploring the Donnybrook area

Jarragon Icecreamery, selling delicious Simmos Icecream , is open every weekend (except in winter), and all the school holidays.

Donnybrook is on the Harvest Highway. There's no better place to get fresh produce.

The new Donnybrook Apple Fun Park opened at Easter 2008 in conjuction with the Donnybrook Apple Festival. The Funpark is the generous gift of a local business-person to all the young at heart. Our local council and many volunteers have also contributed to the project. It is the biggest free funpark in Australia, and has playthings for people of all ages. Free barbeques and a shady seating area have been incorporated into the area as well. Jarragon B&B is very handy to the park, a must-visit for grand-parents and grand-children! See photos of the opening ceremony over Easter.

Westcoast Trail Rides can open up the forest trails for an unforgettable trail-bike experience.

History buffs can visit the Donnybrook museum (by appointment only) and explore the fruit-growing history of the town.

Discover the surprising history of goldfinds at the Old Goldfields Cider Factory and enjoy some refreshing cider and a meal at the restaurant, only 5 minutes from Donnybrook.

Walkers can choose an easy stroll along the river in the heart of town, visit Kirup falls or find an interesting bush track, if you are feeling adventurous.

Have you ever heard of Gnomesville? A surprising and delightful place to visit in the Ferguson Valley.

Wine-tastings are a tempting afternoon activity without having to go very far at all. There are eight boutique wineries within 15 minutes drive of Donnybrook.
